CLIENT:
Avance is a high performing college and life preparatory school in Northeast Los Angeles. In 2008 the school recorded an 89 point increase in its API. Their achievement continued in 2009, which catapulted Avance to the top API ranking over all traditional public middle and high schools in the region.
PROBLEM:
While other schools were increasing class sizes, and cutting staff and enrichment, Avance wanted to use the promise of state aid from enrollment growth to fund the special programs that make their educational offer so unique. They needed funding to help meet this goal.
SOLUTION:
Charter School Capital provided $2.4 million to cover state deferrals and growth since Avance opened its doors.
